Job Purpose Ensure all derivative trade confirmations are verified in a timely and accurate manner. Reports to Supervisor, Derivatives Confirmations Key Accountabilities - Manage own list of counterparties for outstanding confirmations - Verbal trade confirmations - Checking, matching and confirming fixed income trades - Liasing with counterparties and Front Office to resolve discrepancies - Generation of confirmations for structured OTC derivative transactions - Drafting confirmation experience would be an advantage Key Skill Areas Business Knowledge: Good understanding of Derivative products and ISDA confirmations Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to deal with internal and external customers at all levels Must work as part of a team Customer Focus: Excellent customer service and communication skills required Technical and Specialist Skills Derivatives, FX and MM product knowledge including: - Bonds - Foreign exchange – spot, forward, swap - Money market – Loans and deposits - Interest rate swaps - FX Currency Options - Swaptions - FRA’s - Cross Currencies - Constant maturity swaps - Caps - Floors - Callable Range Accruals - NDF - Inflation Swaps - Other products as required System knowledge Calypso Devon Planning and Organisation - Must be able to meet tight deadlines - Must be able to work under pressure with high volumes - High attention to detail |
