Total Solutions was established in 2001 by Robi Dattatreya. Previously Robi worked within the financial markets, both on the customer side, within the treasurer side while at Koninklijke Ahrend and on the supplier side while at ABN Amro Bank. After his international financial career, Robi chose to pursue a career as an entrepreneur on the supplier side for the Financial Markets.
While at ABN Amro, Robi noticed that it was hard to find qualified people for the Temporary or Permanent recruitment market and that the agencies that were present in the market at that time, lacked the specific knowledge of the Financial Markets to make an accurate selection. Frequently, it appeared that the quality of the agency staff was lacking and there was no apparent consistency of provision due to the lack of experience of the Consultants working for the Clients.
Total Solutions started in the basement of Robi’s house and has grown to be an international company with offices in the Netherlands, the UK and the Middle East. The managing partners Nora de Groot (the Netherlands) and Jurry de Vries (Middle East) both had an international financial career before they became partners of Total Solutions.
In 2004 the Dubai office was opened. It was the year that the free zone for financial institutions in Dubai was initiated; the DIFC. Given the international character of the Financial Markets, this was an opportunity to get involved in the early stages of this emerging market. Our office in Dubai is now recognized as the 15th company registered out of 1000 organisations, within the free zone.
In 2007, Total Solutions was nominated for the FD Gazelle award, based on its growth and business model. In 2008 this business model also reached the finals for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award. In the same year’, Total Solutions was recognized as an educational institution by the NIVRA and as a training partner of the NASDAQ in Dubai.
In 2009 Total Solutions successfully completed the first outplacement project. Within 3 months, 50% of the employees that were engaged, had found a new job. At the beginning of 2009 we opened an office in the Hague to also guarantee our service also for the southern part of the Netherlands.
In 2011 year we opened an office in London to assist in serving the UK, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, France and the rest of Europe.
Now, after a successful period of 10 years of working with our clients, we are delighted to be the preferred supplier for all the leading financial institutions in the Netherlands and the DIFC. Because of our high quality standards and reliability, Total Solutions has grown to be the largest financial services company within the Financial markets in Europe.
The goal of Total Solutions is to be a knowledge centre for the Financial Markets sector. This includes everything from Front Office, the Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, Compliance, Finance/Interim and Project Management.
